I ordered a 4pi crossover which will need a Zobel. Can I use five 40ohm 20w resistors wired in parallel?

Also, what is the best way to fix the inductors to the pcb crossover board.

Thanks!

Yes, you can do that. The Zobel resistor is mounted off board and is connected with spade lugs.

However, if you purchased an assembled crossover from us, the Zobel is included. Completed crossover assemblies come with a 100 watt Zobel resistor. It's a large block with built-in heatsink that mounts to the cabinet, right beside the crossover board. But if you bought the unstuffed crossover, you'll need to source the components yourself.

Thanks Wayne. Decided to go with a 100w resistor from PE.

Will the inductors need to be secured to the pcb or will the solder do the trick. Thanks!

That's the best way to go. That 100w resistor will work nicely for you.

As for the inductors, I like to attach them with silicon adhesive which serves to cushion them as well.
