I'm planning on upgrading my sound card so I can hook up a nice set of speakers to my computer. What would others here recommend in the way of the sound card? I will probably go with a set of Logitech speakers.

Hi, Logitech speakers are mid-fi at best and the inexpensive ones probably not worth consideration. I believe I would do things the opposite way you plan. Get the best speakers that you can first and see how they sound. You may find that the sound card is fine. For serious use, there are several companies selling sound cards, both internal and external. Figure on somewhere in the ranges of $100 to 250 for a good one.

Good Listening
