Well I have the noted Fisher on the way and it appears to be in very good shape with tubes tested and the Vacuum valley standard upgrade. Any further suggestions for upgrades to this unit?

Great to see the new forums...

Hi Henry!

I'd sure love to see photos of your amp and hear your impressions of it! If you have time, please let us know what you think of it and of the upgrades you're planning.

Wayne

Not here yet, but seller has good reputation. Should be in fine shape with walnut case. Tubes all tested well w/in tolerance, so I may ship to rehab friend for New Auricaps all around, but I will take a listen first.

This unit will be a possible for my three way, Martinelli, Pi-aligned, Eminence/JBL/Altec/Klipsch (who knows yet) speaker project. Kind of makes you wonder just what breed this mongrel will most resemble.

It will be tested on the 2 Pi Studios, then Heresy. Pics will be forth coming.

Hi, Try the 2baudio.com site, he offers complete rebiuld for fisher 400's or he will sell you parts for do it yourself and he is a nice guy and reasonable. He sells a completely rebiult 400 with new nobs case etc. that looks great. I use a 500 in the den with dynaco 25's and it sounds great.
