Both the one π and two π models are designed for light duty, surrounds, secondary systems, etc. Neither produces a lot of bass, and should probably be used with subs. Most models of π speakers are that way - Best if used with subs.

My suggestion is to move up to the three π or four π model. The Alpha 8 is a nice driver, but it may not have the SPL capability for what you're trying to do.
