What about those fancy gaming headphones for music?
I spent more time than I planned to trying to get away from a salesman yesterday. He thought they were exactly what I need. But he's a gamer, not a music lover.
Have any music lovers out there tried buying headphones in the gaming section?

If at first you don't succeed, go back and do it the way Mother told you to.

I don't know. If the headphones are specifically geared to gamers, I would worry that they may not have the frequency response I'd want for music. I think I'd stick to the music section.

My son has some high dollar gaming headphones and they sound OK, but don't even compare to my low end AKG 240S cans. I can't imagine they would hold up to a really good set of Grados or Sennheisers.
