Sorry, you're not misreading it. The two words that stood out for me were "handmade" and "silk". This isn't something you buy at Wal-Mart. Or Best Buy even. This is for the serious audio junkie.
I guess, but I cannot imagine buying a cable that expensive. It's important to make sure your cables are of high quality, of course, but you can do that for much less than #9500.
