Hi Dave,
the conversation is interesting at least, sorry for interfering in your thread.
Do you have a Radian driver? Do they published their curve for the level output, 'cause I think I didn't see one.

(I have a powerful phenolic driver, 108dBs, to go after a paper 5" mid at 3k800Hz). I only tested the driver and I think that they will make a great pair for high frequencies. Regards

Sorry to get back to you so late! I do not own a Radian driver. There are curves on their website and on the Parts Express website.

Some of the guys that are doing also a great job is RCF from Italy.
Is like they have very powerful speakers. Check their latest line of RCF TTL33A (BASS - TTS18A, TTS28A). But instead they go with a 1" (x3) drivers for the line arrays (with ...the utilisation of a new type of amplifier originally developed in Denmark by B&O).
Sorry Wayne, I like your passive crossovers. New Age is... they have a computer to program their speakers and amps. Nice.
Best Regards

Hi,

Calling up an old thread - but, does anyone have experience with the Eminence PSD3006 compression driver?

I'm looking for a large format compression driver, and the PSD3006 is available to me at reasonable prices. I'll be using it with a LeCleach horn. Any chance of it being reasonably full range, so that a super-tweeter isn't required?

Regards,
Viren

I used to run 'em with top-octave compensation and you can get them to touch the top-octave, but just barely. On a LeCleach horn, the collapsing directivity will provide some EQ, but I would still recommend a little more.
