Picked up this "best of" two CD set last week. Great recordings. Although I was only really familiar with some of Dire Straits' more popular music, I think I am digging Knopfler's solo stuff way, way more. What a great storyteller!!!
Seems like a pretty good collections of the more popular Straits songs.

I like his music a lot. How old do you think the guy is now?
Seems to me that people of all ages seem to like 60-80s music. There seems to be a huge void in new material.
I can't listen to the old stuff forever. Isn't there anyone who can write music or play an instrument anymore?
