I just recently watched a documentary on Netflix called "Children Underground". Boy was it an eye-opening documentary! It's about how children in Romania have been affected since their last communist dictator outlawed contraception and abortion, in an effort to beef up the workforce. Our kids have no idea how good they have it!!
I will watch out for that. I have seen several documentaries about how Romanian kids are being taken to the UK and used in organised begging rings. Maybe there is a connection?

I saw this documentary a little while back, but I can't remember if it was on Netflix or not. Anyways, it was really sad to see children so young smoking, getting hooked on what looked like paint, and having to sleep in a subway.
I've never heard of the documentary, which sounds good by the way, but I wouldn't doubt it. If you have people smuggling young girls around the world for the prostitution rings, then I wouldn't doubt that Romania is doing what it is. It's sad.
I actually saw this same documentary on Hulu and it was really sad. There are many, many children leaving on the streets there. I don't doubt that there are many kids in America leaving on the street too.
For all of our technological advances, we sure don't seem to know how to treat each other very well. A lot of these types of things are wept under the carpet. It's good that we have filmmakers who aren't afraid to tackle tough subjects like this.
