I have a question! I know that typically is probably best to go to a doctor, but right now I am kind of short on money. I have noticed, particularly whenever I am lying down, that there is this weird thumping sound in my ear. Has anyone every had this problem before?

I've never had any kind of thumping sound in my ears before. If anything, I've had to deal with ringing in my ears, but that's it. I'm not sure what could be causing the thumping, unless you're hearing your own heartbeat.

No, I know that what I am hearing is definitely not my heartbeat. It is literally in my ear. Its become just a little uncomfortable lately.

Have you tried looking that symptom up on WebMD, or doing a general Google search? I've never heard of that before but surely you're not the only one that's ever had to deal with it. Maybe it's similar to ringing in the ears?

Yes, I checked Web MD, but I didn't find anything that was very conclusive or substantial. I think I will just hold off to see if it goes away on its own. If not, I will visit the doctor in town.
