It's never too early to start talking about next year's event. LSAF 2013 will be held at the same place, Embassy Suites in North Dallas Park Central, May 3rd, 4th and 5th. The registration page has already been setup on the LSAF website.

This year, we're going to advertise in AudioXpress magazine. We just signed an agreement with them, and will have 150 free copies of AudioXpress to hand out to attendees. We'll be handing them out at the lobby meeting on Saturday afternoon. How cool is that?

Wayne, this is AWESOME news!

I can't wait for this year's show! I know I've been working hard on some new stuff that will be ready by May. I'll also be pitching in a few prizes for this year's LSAF raffle!

Audio Express...cool. I submitted an article to them a few weeks ago. If they are slow, it could show up in that issue.

I'm hoping to have a guitar amp to add to our products by then (at least a prototype of it).

I'm hoping to actually make it this year. I've missed the last couple.

Bruce, any hints on the guitar amp? I'm looking at picking up a Egnater Tweaker 15 soon, but was also intrigued about building something like an AX84 4-4-0 or SEL as a lower power alternative.

Hi Shane, It's on my bench now in progress. General info is push pull 6L6WXT+ (Sovtek higher capacity version of the 6L6GC) output tubes for about 25 watts class AB1. Could use EL34s, KT77s and others just as well though for nearly the same output. Driver is 12AU7 via a interstage trannie. Input stage is a 12AX7 (SRPP) followed by a tone stack and another 12AX7 for gain. Built on the head amp style chassis (about 7 X 17 inches). It should be ready to test in a month or so. I am putting input / output loop connections for effects but at present don't plan on building them into the basic amp. it should work quite well as either bass or lead.

Sorry to hijack this thread Wayne.

Bruce, have you thought about possibly having a switchable tone stack, between bypass, Fender, and Marshall style? With those power tubes you could get a range of sounds that way.

I don't think it's possible to hijack an LSAF thread 'cause it's a place where we showcase our stuff. Pretty much a free-for-all. Cool

Hi, I can do some of that. I want to have it ready for May. A new field for Oddwatt to get into.

I hope you can make it Shane!

This year I plan to have a few new things in my room. A new version of the OneSource media server and new revised set of the line array speakers made out of solid walnut! Very Happy

I might even have a few extra things like a new set of bookshelf speakers too...

My LSAF 2013 project is ready for wiring, testing, tuning and painting. It's an open back 8" Dayton Audio PS220-8 Point Source Full-Range Neo Driver with a 15" H-frame eminence Alpha 15 subwoofer, bi-amplified, using a DEQX as the active crossover and equalizer.
