I just read about the Burning Amp DIY Fest, which was in San Francisco at the end of October. I've never heard of this convention before, although apparently it's been going on for several years. Has anyone here been to it?

Very cool! I've never heard of that before. Serious Hi-Fi crowd there!!! How many people attended? From the pix it seems like it was only a dozen.
Also... for anyone who can't figure out my username... Look at the long speakers with the port at the bottom -- both the tall triangular one and the bent one... Those are Voigt Pipes.
