Right now we are finishing out our xbox live subscription, and we are using our Roku. As I was scrolling through both of them I couldn't help but notice how many options there are for listening to music on the tv. Does anyone actually use these? I could see if maybe you were having a party it could be a background thing, but we never listen to music on the tv.
I never listen to music on the TV, but my parents do it all the time. They found a satellite channel they really like, so if they aren't actually watching a show, the music is on.
I agree that it's kind of an unnecessary feature. I suppose if you were travelling without your music and a hotel room TV featured it, it would be nice.

I guess maybe it is just something they put on there because they can. There are just so many other options for listening to music these days that it seems a little redundant.

We listen to many music stations on the TV. I love that you can pick a genre and listen to just that. We listen to new country often. My kids like the Disney station.
There really are a ton of different options when it comes to listening to radio on the TV. We use Comcast, and have tons of channels. We listen to the country channels most.
I used to listen to some of the Comcast stations once in a while, but we downgraded our cable a while ago. While those stations weren't bad, I wish there were more channels that played music videos throughout the day.
