Oh, no problem. Glad for the questions, that's what we're here for so never hesitate to speak up and ask.
And I don't think you misunderstood, there are probably people out there that think acoustic wedges in speaker boxes will "tighten up the bass". I've heard people say a thin sheet of fabric will imporve bass too, which is wrong. Just lots of misinformation out there, that's all.
I suspect that there may have been a small problem with locating the vent on the adjacent side of the cabinet. I may have made an error. Now don't get me wrong, it was still good. I didn't bother with measurements because I liked the normal boxes better. If the regular 2PI cabinets fit the room, just build them stock.
thank you, email received.
I've a problem, i'm italian and i've serious problems to understand the misures in inches, what does 9 1/8" stand for?
Can you traduce the misures in millimeters?

The towers are taller and provide deeper bass.
9-1/8" is 9.125 inches. There is an imperial-to-metric measurement converter on the PiSpeakers.com website. Scroll down to the bottom of the page where the whitepapers are and click the "Madison Measurement Converter" link.
