I just listened to the Paul Butterfield Blues Band double CD. It's an import and it contains his first album and my favorite East-West. I've heard people rave on over SRV and he's very good no doubt. However, he's not as fluid and smooth sounding as Mike Bloomfield was.
If you like Chicago kick ass blues then you'll love this cd. It was 27.00 for the double import.
Paul Butterfield is the best harp player I've heard and admittedly I haven't heard them all. If you can sit still and listen to these cd's then you are embalmed already
