I can't figure out why the radio stations in my listening area (regular radio) have switched to Country Music. We used to have an Oldies station, country station and a rock station. We now have 3 Country stations. I find that very odd!

Hi, What's a radio station? The opposite has happened here. We had several country stations and now they are going to oldies and soft rock. Go figure, this is the wild west here (30 miles from Tombstone AZ).
I think it's all about money, so people in your area must really like their country music. We have a decent variety here, but country does have a couple more stations than most genres. I don't like it much myself, but I know many others who love country music, so it makes sense.

Oh, I feel for you. Country is my least favorite genre. Around here the popular genre is soft rock, which is ok. I wish the classic rock station hadn't gone under though.

I don't hate country music but I do want a choice. I'm thinking it is the money issue too! People like country in my area, so they changed the stations. I'm getting more and more used to it.
What kind of country music are they playing? Hopefully either each station has picked a style or they are all mixing it up a bit. I quite like the modern take on this genre, but the old classics are still worth a listen too.
