Well, he wrote good songs and that's what I like about him. Yeah, you're right. He's a bit miserable and that's where he got the inspiration to write good songs. Just look at the lyrics. And you'll see why he's one of the icons of his genre. I love him.
O'Kay I just bought the CN live album "Another Stoney Evening"; it's just the two of them but it is a very laid-back acoustic set that works well in the evenings on the deck. I also picked up Steve Stills, "Alone". His voice is shot but the material is first-rate and he does a good job with it. Do you have the Classic Records re-master CSN album; the first one?
Oh, man if that piece is available where I'm based at, it wouldn't be missed. But unfortunately, I say no. I envy you, man. The closest I get to listen to them is through the net. He has two kids who have a muscular disease. Him and his wife thought to treat them with a neurological sequence of patterned movements that required they do this for hours every day. Between the disease and the treatment they both went into deep depression. Maybe that is part of it.
