I want to recommend a book I read recently on vinyl records -- 'The Long Player Goodbye: How Vinyl Changed the World' by Travis Elborough. It tracks the history of vinyl LP's and how they ultimately fell out of popular use. I found it a very enjoyable read. Not sure in what bookshops you would find it, but it is available on Amazon.
I'm glad I saw this post, I've been looking for a good book to pass the time. I really like books about history and music, so I'll have to look into buying this one.
