Illuminati (1st Degree)
I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Rise of the Planet of the Apes was really pretty good! The trailers make it look like nothing but an action movie, which is so far from the truth. It's well worth seeing.

I don't understand why almost all of the movies being made these days are sequels or remakes. Can't anyone come up with original ideas anymore?

Yeah, very true Danny. Just look at the superhero movies- the number of Batman and Superman versions with different actors that they've made is really ridiculous.

Some remakes or sequels are better than the original movies. I think producers make remakes or sequels when there are a lot of fans created by the first movie. I agree to some degree that remakes are not good any longer, like the new spider-man that will come out next year.

As far as Rise of the Planet of the Apes, I think this is a good movie. I think this shows the reality of animal shelters where some caretakers are cruel.
