Hi,
At the risk of being shot down here and whilst I know that it is not economical to do it, I would dearly like to try the Pi 2 Towers with a H290 instead of the usual Vifa DX25 tweeter. This is purely because I want to use a horn and the Pi4 or 3 are just too large for my situation. Yes, I know there is a huge efficiency difference between the horn and the standard tweeter. Therefore this would require alternative crossover or what changes would have to be made to it or which crossover to use?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated???

That's a tough question for me, because I used those piezo tweeters for over 25 years, and had a sentimental attachment to them for the little boxes. They were inexpensive and sounded good. I think they were much better than the generics or the "orange masher" variant. Made for a good, inexpensive, high efficiency speaker.
But all that said, the dome tweeter we now use is much, much smoother. If that part had been available in 1980 at that same price point, I would have used it. But back then, all the dome tweeters were at least 5dB too low in sensitivity. I just couldn't make a high-efficiency speaker back then with domes or ribbons, and I did search for both.
