I was just curious, because where I'm from AM is mostly for serious radio broadcasts like news and stuff while FM is focused on music and more fun reports. I'm pretty sure it's not only like that where I'm from. I'm just curious, how did they decide on separating radio content between the two frequencies? I know that AM and FM are just different types of signals/waves sent from the station but how did they decide on the standard? It's something that just struck me today while listening to the radio:)
