Well, Sony has been a good video equipment brand for a long time. But I'm not sure I'd compare on brand name alone. There's a lot of technology in a Blu-Ray player, lots of places to go right but also lots of places to cut corners and go wrong.

How do they look and sound to you? I think that's what matters most. Most players will do streaming content these days, many with wireless capability too. Of course, you don't want an unreliable lemon, but the cost has come down so much that I don't think I'd be worried about extended warranties and the like. I think you should judge it mostly on image and sound quality.
