The four π loudspeaker is 3dB more sensitive than the three π but they are similar in every other way. Same sonic character, same controlled directivity. The truth is, the thing that most people base their decision on is the woofer family chosen. The three π has stamped frame Eminence stock and Acoustic Elegance upgrade. The four π has cast frame Eminence stock and JBL Professional Series upgrade. So when you choose one or the other, you're really choosing woofer family.
