Anyone know which TV brands are known for having the best sound quality without adding in a speaker system? I want to buy a new flatscreen TV for a friend who just moved into a small apartment, and I don't think external speakers are really in the cards, but I know he'll be watching concerts and music videos often.

I would take an educated guess and say Sony, unless their divisions don't intersect technologically, which seems unlikely to me.
Remember the first generation PSX? It is STILL considered one of the best CD Players sround.
