I just hate digital controls for things that should be analogue, like tone and balance controls. You can't get the fine tuning you need with digital.

That's right. Digital doesn't feel right. Maybe because it's not manual. If I remember rightly, even with cameras, digital is still a long way from catching up with analog.

I was talking to a friend the other day. His routine work was setting up sound systems for singers. He told me that he preferred the old-fashioned valve amplifiers anytime.
