The Clash has been offered in Re-Mastered Vinyl and I hear there may be some Gang Of Four and Joy Division issues also; post punk collection. Should be good.

Cool. Seems like the original was Decca or Columbia or someone else. I wonder how those guys work out stuff like this when a re-issue is made and they change labels. No matter, it's cool to know new vinyl is coming out.

I would imagine either the label lets the rights run out or sells them to the re-issue label. Might be an interesting discussion.

Since Sony is putting it out does that mean if you try and record it off the vinyl it'll melt down into a bust of Conway Twitty?

I`m just listening to "Return The Gift" , the new album of reunited Gang Of Four (re-recorded old songs and remixes), I think that their first two LPs are in press again ("Entertainment" and "Solid Gold").
Well, here is a my subjective list of some "classic" punk/new wave albums, no particular order:

1.) Sex Pistols: "Never Mind The Bollocks" (1st)
2.) The Clash: "The Clash" (1st)
3.) The Jam: "Snap!" (8th, compilation)
4.) The Stranglers: "Black And White" (3rd)
5.) The Damned: "Damned, Damned, Damned"
6.) Ramones: "Ramones" (1st)
7.) Joy Division: "Closer" (2nd)
8.) Gang Of Four: "Entertainment" (1st)
9.) Television: "Marquee Moon" (1st)
10.)Buzzcocks: "Singles Going Steady" (5th)
