There are huge phonebook sized catalogs with everything in them as well as online shops that sell everything.
But yeah, If I NEED a cheap a pre-amp on the double, why not buy a cheap AVC receiver from the pawn shop and simply remove it. Those things typically have convenient insultated wires for their I/O.
I've been known to bust a cheap pair of computer speakers apart to steal the amplifier out of them. In that case I leave enough of the wiring that is attached to the PCB so I can twist a new one into place.

There could be some money in this, that's for sure. E-bay always has enough of a selection for me to find what I need at a good price.

I think a lot of people have to get this part from here, and that one from there, etc. I don't know if there is an Ebay store where you could get it all in one spot, but I could be wrong.... Anyway, if not, it could be a good business for someone.
