I understand that they are not completely without wires but anything to reduce the tangle is appealing. I would love to hear from anyone about exactly how much difference it makes though.

I've been happy with Rocketfish wireless amps. I use them to drive standard speakers. I don't think I would use them for mains but for surrounds they're great. They sound pretty good. I don't suppose they'd be bad at all for mains in a secondary system or for other casual listening.
