I have an old receiver that I use for my music and have even hooked it up as a makeshift home theater system. The music sounds great and I use the TV as the center channel for movies. I know, pretty cheap.

If I was to update to a home theater receiver, is the quality for music good? The music quality is more important to me than movie audio. I have two large speakers that really sound fantastic can these be incorporated into the home theater system?

It all depends on the system, of course. I have a home theater that doubles as my two-channel music system, and it's a high-quality system. Then again, it's a stereo amp for the mains and additional amps added to that for subs and surrounds. So it's not specifically a home-theater system.
