Ok that makes sense. I never thought of that. I was looking at my car today and the speakers near the windshield are so small that I didn't think they serve a purpose but then I read your answer.
Anything would beat the speakers I have in my van. They are horrible. They also have a short in one of them and it jiggles on and off. I can't seem to track down the short though.
