I have a computer with HDMI output and a TV with only composite input. Is there any way I can run the laptop output through it? I have a bunch of iTunes movies I'd like to watch on the real TV.

HDMI-to-Composite Converter

Might be a better idea to just buy a new TV, if HDMI is your only source.

Dear me that's expensive. How is the video output any different, and why is it that you cannot just play back HDMI on a normal tv but accepting that you will lose the resolution?

And no, I have a lot of equipment that uses that set, which is a big screen TV for a tube. Not that old either, sad really.
