I have this set . It has that hum . Would it be okay just to change the electrolytic caps, and line caps leave the rest alone .
Works great just has that hum.

If i may ask a question? On this set i have a can with a 40mfd & a 10mfd electrolytics caps. It has more i figured them out. Where does the 40 go and where does the 10 go ? I might have them backwards. Thanks Capbuster.

Hello. I recapped this set all but one. It is a cap with wire wrap around it. It is not a resistor. Any ideals what it is. First time
seen one of theses.

It is fine. was for noise interferance small stations army had or something on the pacific coast. Can change out with regular cap now
Stations no longer exist.

I have a electrolytic cap in a can 15uf. It has a ground to it but it goes no where the positive lead hooked to nothing. What is it,s purpose.
