It seemed that when I first started driving, that Blaupunkt was the king of in car audio. Who now holds that honour-I know that Bose are good but are they at the top?

I never thought much of Blaupunkt. They are the Delco of the German car companies. They were in all the Porsches and Audis for years, but always lack luster, in my opinion.
I don't know what the top of the line car stereo would be, but does Bose make car stereos? I know they have a good systems for the home, but I don't recall hearing anything about car stereos.
Yes Bose make car audio systems, but I'm not sure that they would be suitable to be fitted in just any car. And really-I hate to say this but I never got the hype over Bose.
I understand what your saying about Bose, dizzy. Never quite understood the hype myself. On the other hand, I've never heard of Blaupunkt. Maybe it's because I've never been fortunate enough to drive an Audi or Porsche.
Well I bought mine to put into whatever car I had at the time-I never had a car that came with them already fitted. So I ended up with a Blaupunkt in a little tiny Rover
