I can't say I've explored it thoroughly yet, but http://artofthestates.org looks like a great site. It has information about and (via RealPlayer) free performances of music by American composers, mostly modern, and appears readily searchable. I wish it were more inclusive (no Neil Rolnick, for example), but it looks extremely promising.

By way of example, I'm linking to Terry Riley's "In C".

Nice site E-man. Good to see you're back in the saddle. Any recommendations?
