Last Christmas I got a dvd of Honey West as a gift.

Unfortunately the product source wasn't too good. My friend had it
drop shipped and didn't know it was a boot of real
marginal quality.

I actually hadn't sat down to see these shows til
yesterday. I had watched the show in real time in 1965.

Then John Varley made reference to it in a novel in the
late 70s as 'antique tv' in a science fiction context.
I think it was in "The Barbie Murders."

I encourage anyone to read the link below from Bijouflix
which is a good source for the dvd with packaging of
what they call 'collector quality.' I still may get them.

Honey still has a following. Type "Wiki Honey West" and from there
you can find a site of detective fiction lore with even more
history of Honey West as a pulp heroine.

What makes the show special is that Honey West was the first
woman detective who had her own show. Not The Avengers,
Not Girl From U.N.C.L.E. Nope it was Honey West.

And in the age of cheap video, dvd and digitizing that little
piece of nostalgia is still available.
