Is the 2225H a drop in replacement for the Omega Pro

I did a quick search and could not find any info regarding compatibility between the 2225H and Omega Pro. I seem to remember a discussion about it a few years ago, but wasn't able to find it. The website implies that they are interchangeable, but I wanted to be sure before I sold my Omega's.

Also, what would be considered the better driver, the 2225 or the Omega. I know the 2226 is better than the Omega, but given that the 2225 is an older design I wasn't sure if that still held.

Thanks

Oh, the relevant enclosure is for the 7Pi kit that I bought about 4 years ago and am just now finding the time to build (the addition of two kids in the interim used up all my free time).

Yes, the JBL 2225 is a drop-in replacement for the Omega 15. So is the JBL 2205, for that matter. Those were the woofers I used prior to the JBL 2226. I really like them, they're great sounding woofers, with many of the same advantages as the 2226, just not quite as much power handling. They have shorting rings, just like the JBL 2226, for smooth response and low distortion.

Thanks, Wayne.

Do you still sell the mid-horn flat kits? I don't see them on your website anymore.

My cabinetmaker died last year and some thing were put on hold as a result. I'm working through each cabinet with the new cabinet shop now, helping them to work through the details.

To tell the truth, we should have worked through the midhorn early on, since it has always been pretty popular. But we haven't yet. I sent an E-Mail just this weekend asking if we could get together and make an assembly jig in the next couple weeks. I don't like haveing the midhorn off the table because it is too limiting. Hopefully, we'll have them back available soon.

Keep me (us?) posted. At least for me, trying to figure out how to build the midhorn is one of the things that delayed me initially.
