Hello Wayne, could you send me the plans of the 4 PI ? Is there any modification to do if I use them with the horn outside the box ? And finaly do you recommand a value for the (active) crossover cutoff for my speakers ?
Thank you !

Benoit

I own a pair of 811's and love them for nostalgia's sake. They sound nice on axis too. But I do not have any designs that use 811 horns. All my designs use either the H290 or my own wood horn. These are much shorter than the 811, and that's a very important consideration in crossover design. They also provide much more uniform directivity, so you'll probably want to build the speaker as designed.

If I don't use any mid/high speaker in the 4PI enclosure, the original design and measures are still correct ?
I would like to simply put my horns on top of the pi speaker, is it possible or should I use another cabinet design for the 2227 ?

Thank you

You can use the 2227, but you can't use the 811. It's just too different and won't work with this design.
