The dvd version of this film features one of those alternate
soundtracks with commentary by the director. In this case the
director is Wim Wenders and one of his deatured performers
Peter Falk.
I've seen this film a number of times and I think that it
along with Wenders other title called Until The End Of The World
are among the best films ever made. Ever.
On this commentary track were many revelations: the trapeze sequences were done by the star Solveg Domartin... without a net and in training
while the film was being shot.
Of course one should see the film first as it was meant to be shown.
The commentary track was an added pleasure for me who had a lot of
familiarity with it already.
The film concerns to 2 angels, Damiel and Casiel played by
Bruno Ganz and Otto Sander.
In German with subtitles. Not to be missed.

But I believed in the healing power of words and stories"
