Mike Lefevre has some very questionable notions about what he does and does not own. Probably because at essence he's a dumpster diver. What he absolutely and positively does not have the right to do is stop anyone from reverse engineering original Peerless, Acrosound, or WE transformers and reproducing them. No court in the world anywhere will interfere.
He also does not possess any unique and indispensible resource to do so. Granted having the prints that he acquired via a dumpster diver is nice, but by his own admission they have flaws both accidental and intentional.
Further, I think he is prevaricating with regard to many documents he alleges to possess. I specifically attack his claim to having the original Marantz transformer designs which he alleges were the result of marantz ordering prototypes and copying them. In fact, if Marantz did so, it just proves that it's feasible to do so and impossible to stop, especially considering that Marantz amplifiers were the apex of conventional tube amplifier design in their day.
In short, Mikey can whiz up a rope if he thinks I will either buy from him or "respect" any "rights" he has with regard to Peerless transformer design.
