Illuminati (13th Degree)
When I was young I took a trip across country in a 1966 ford Econoline Van with all the trimmings; curtains and couches.
We had an 8-track player and 4 tapes. They were;
Jr. Walker and the All Stars,"Shotgun".
Judy Collins,?
Lee Micheals, "Do You Know What I Mean."
And The Gratefull Dead"American Beauty and Workingmans Dead"
I wasn't familiar with the Dead at that time and really didn't care for them. After one day the Judy Collins was tossed at about 75 mph.
Jr. Walker Stayed but my point is by the Fifth day we woke up in the van and put the Dead on and we went to sleep with..the Dead on. That was the soundtrack for that whole trip and we never got tired of it.
To this day I am still enamored of those LP's. Hearing certain songs I can picture the desert and the mountains; Highway 1 on the coast.
I guess that's the magic.
