Well, that was its name, but today just half of the tower remains. There`re remains of the trench and of the outside walls. It`s XIV century castle over (important) old Romans road, mentioned many times in history books `cos of various battles... Nice hiking, not counting mud, strain and ent ticks...

The architectural history of your country must be amazing. I would assume there are churches or other buildings of historical importance that are still being used with little changes since being built.

Yeah, two 13th century churches on the main square, consists of baroque-style houses... the catedral is from the 18st century, baroque, also. But, there`re not too many very old buildings, or they are in ruin-like shape. There`re a (wild) frontier here for centuries, between the east and the west, many different armies...and they like to burn...
