Yes, I hope this measure is defeated in COngress. I plan to write to my senators & Congresspeople about it, I suggest you do the same.
This is an important issue that transcends party lines.

After spending 15 years to legally become a US citizen, I find it particularly irritating that lawbreakers may be allowed a free ride.
