You forgot a small detail. The current administration has lobbied for increasing the quotas allowing proffesionals from the Indian Subcontinent to emigrate here in ever larger numbers in order to lower the value of American labor in the fields of medicine and computors.
Meanwhile the number of Swedes allowed in have decreased as well as Irish due to their requirement for a livable wage and refusal to work for slave wages like the Indians and Pakistanis.
