Illuminati (2nd Degree)
Columbia CL 707 Mono recording of Ormandy and the Phillies playing Rimsky's Capriccio Espanol and PI Tchaikowsky's Capriccio Italien. From 1953 with the Philadelphians at the height of their celebrity as the "greatest orchestra in the world".
Wonderfully recorded with really gorgeous woodwind, Cello and Double Bass underpinnings to the featured brass sections. This was one of the most played albums on dad's Webcor when I was a lad. It looked rough but nostalgia won out, my alky/distilled H2O/Dawn elixir cleaned it up and I had a winner.
