Last night I got hear an act live that I known by music and
reputation for over 20 years.

It's Carl Finch's Brave Combo. They were playing the casino
here to not a very large crowd over a three day stay that
the casino features Sun.- Tues. Brave Combo did mostly
Christmas music. I should add that Brave Combo plays
world dance music in all musical varieties. So their
version of Little Drummer Boy featured a solo on the
tabla. Brave Combo is from Denton TX. And while I
was hoiping that they'd do my all-time favorite called
the "Oh, Holy Night Cha Cha" they stuck with more traditional
fare.

I spoke with Carl briefly and encouraged him to come
back and do a concert at the Meyer Theatre. The Meyer is
a completelt refurbished vaudeville/movie house in which
I thought Brave Combo would feel right at home-- or at the
very least _cool_ to have played there.

You check it out below-- wait for the iPIX to load.
