I enjoyed astronomy for many years, and it was my first major in college. In high school I pieced together a 6" f/8 reflector that I still have after many years.

Do you need it to be portable, and what is your budget (sorry, had to ask)? Are you willing to DIY? Using for casual viewing or do you plan on doing astrophotography or CCD capture?
