I'm reminded that a couple of years ago a blogger conducted non-scientific surveys of left-of-center and right-of-center bloggers concerning their views of the 20 greatest Americans.

Adams ranked eighth among right-of-center bloggers. Remarkably, he did not rank at all among left-of-center bloggers. I have no idea why. I can only speculate that the Alien and Sedition Acts played a large part.
