The U.S. is looking away as the Kurds are quietly occupying Kerkuk in the oil-filled area northern Iraq. Their dream of an independant state are once again being appropriated as a buffer to shiism. This strategy was tried during the Ottoman Empire; then The British Empire now the American Empire. This is so great; history re-enacting itself before our very eyes.
The American choice to lead Iraq; Allawi lost big time. A message?
Will the law of Sharia prevail in this Muslim country?
