My horse won the Derby!! Smarty Jones paid $10.20 to win in the Derby today. Not a bad payoff. But not as good as the Futures Bet that ended April 4. I wrote about that bet with Smarty Jones last month in the post below. I hate it when that happens. Good race, though.
I had $25 on Smarty to win. I don't have my ticket with me, but I think it paid about $127.50. Not too bad. The Cliff's Edge lost me money on both a trifecta and superfecta bet. I can't seem to stay away from the exotic bets. I have these delustions of grandeur. I've known for years not to bet more than exactas. If I could only do that in practice. Overall, I came out a little ahead. Thanks for asking, Wayne.
