My neighbor Wayne told me about his website the other night. He asked if i would review some movies and music that may be new to you. So, i've taken the liberty of compiling some bands and some particular albums that i feel would suit your needs as well as provide for an enjoyable listening experience. i've included only a short description of each beacause half the fun is discovering it for yourselves. warning: none of these can be filed under "easy listening". they are... 1.air-'talky walky' album of the year, i'm pretty sure. 2.midwest product- 'world series of love' mostly ambient rock with some keyboards and electronics and a few vocal parts. 3.stereolab- 'margarine eclipse' or 'emporer tomato ketchup' are my personal favorites. a 6piece band that incorporates electronics and features harmonizing female vocals. 4.modest mouse- 'the moon and antartica' art rock. 5.golden- ambient art rock with few vocals. 6.cornelius- 'point' a very diverse and attention grabbing album, mostly electronic. stupendous. 7.neutral milk hotel- 'the aeroplane over the sea' lots of horns and visual lyrics. 8.apex twin- tripped out, intracate sounds. 9.steely dan- 'aja' you know this one. 10.blonde redhead- 'fake can be just as good' arty punk rock. great bass.
